Casual filter thread. Pre-2010 edition
fuck
That mission is about halfway through the game.
Casuals were filtered out long before, this fucker was the 4th mission in the game.
i dunno. probably this huge fucking faggot right here.
>>339242167
Casual filter my ass, VC and to a lesser extent SA has the worst flying controls.
No idea how I managed to complete both games, I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.
>>339242723
>worst flying controls
What a casual
>>339242123
If you use the glitch of the Dark Echo ground punch in water you can destroy the mine/turrett and swim your way to the exit almost completely safely.
Now hunting the Hellcat cruizers with barely any upgrades and on the main city map, now that's a casual filter if i saw one.
But as anon said here >>339242273 the game tests you right from the beginning.
Either you luck out with the boxes or you actually have to learn to mix uppercuts into your offense.
>>339242123
>valkyria chronicles
>chapter 7: desert duel with Maximilian
> ch. 7/20
>hardest chapter in the game.
what the fuck where they thinking
the paintings in super mario 64
how the fuck was I supposed to know I had to jump INTO them??
Ps1/ps2 Armored Core games are fucking filled with them.

>midas
>>339243294
Is the remaster easier or something? Beat this first try yesterday, it was kind of tedious though and i only got a B
>>339242123
he didnt know
>>339243238
Thats like the 1st boss fight in the game. Or one of the very 1st at least. And I beat it 1st try.
I think your just shit m8
>>339243238
I honestly don't know how low the bar is when it comes to "casual filter' I don't remember having a problem with these guys. If anything the power ranger midget boss was the gatekeeper keeping casuals like me out until I became proficient.
>>339242167
Anyone disappointed the gtav flight missions weren't as hard as balls? I wanted to feel the VC/SA rage again.
>>339243294
I loved that mission so much.
What's that? You saved before this fight and you didn't have an alternate save from before the battles? Guess you're fucked, fuccboi.
>>339242123
>I'M GONNA KILL PRAXIS
>>339244825
>>339244813
Were you at level 1 for the whole fight or what?
>>339243925
Fuck you
>all this old gay shit
Move aside old men, pic related was the real casual filter
>>339245091
Level 1? I dont remember enough about the game to tell you
Wouldnt level 1 make the fight harder? I dont see your point
>boy, i would like your finest medicine
>okay, how about I lower the price?
>WOOOOW, I'M WASTING MY TIME WITH YOU, I'M GETTING THE FUCK OUTTA HERE
>>339242273
>Remember watching my older cousin play this mission when I was like 9 or something. I don't know how old I was actually, I just know I was little
>He's having a serious fucking problem with this tank
>Ask if I can try
>Never played before
>Ace the fuck out of it
>First try
>Cousin in awe
>About a year later, get my own ps2
>Get all 3 Jak's
>Play them at least 9 times each, unlock all the secrets and everything
>Never had problem with the tank mission
>18 now
>Got remastered edition for my Ps3
>Play Jak 2
>The tank mission ravaged my asshole roughly 13 times before I could beat it
I don't know where it all went wrong.
>>339244565
nobody died?
and no idea on the difficulty, but the rest of the missions are nowhere as tedious or hard.
>>339244983
o..okay?
>>339245243
That was the easiest out of the 3 you noob
>>339245091
>hiding behind dynamic difficulty as a crutch
how is it a filter then if the game makes it easier without the player knowing?
>post a casual filter thing
>idiots always post "I beat it first try"
Why is the concept so hard for people to understand?
>>339243925
Fuck this and fuck you.
>>339245305
Someone did die to the bitch with the plasma cannon actually she was pissing me off
Tbh I didnt even know it mattered if people died though now im worried
>>339243109
I never understood the trouble people had with Hellcat Cruiser mission. Just get a tanky vechile (those ugly 3-seater ones) and use the Blue Gun, they go down in about 2 seconds. Then escape, get a fresh car and do it again.
> Barely any upgrades
Upgrades were quest related in 2, you couldn't not have an upgrade that everyone else had at that point. 3 was the only Jak game where you could buy weapon upgrades with collectables.
>>339243925
Not that bad at all......on normal mode. Hero mode is basically impossible, but I doubt any casuals made it that far, seeing as you needed 200 Orbs and that requires you to do the bullshit "side missions".
>>339245429
If a soldier loses all of his hp he becomes unconscious. However, if during that state an enemy unit touches that soldier, he dies forever and you can't use him anymore(unless it's one of the plot characters). Personally I didn't want to lose anyone so I had to redo that mission over and over again, but I don't think it affects the ending.
>>339244905
they were hard as balls because the controls are garbage not because they were designed like that
>>339245403
that valve fixing in solo daxter psp game
>>339245403
are you a decrepit old man with no reflexes or something?
if you're having trouble with that minigame it's a miracle you managed to get that far
>>339243925
This shot haunts me to this day
>>339245287
Not a casual filter, but definitely rage inducing.
>>339245004
The events leading up to that point made me a bit nervous.
>>339245302
Hey man when I was 5 I could beat Contra and Ghost&Goblins in one sitting, I tried to play G&G again a year ago and it raped my ass with barbed wire... Maybe we got spoiled because easier games came out or my theory about little kids being unherently better at videogames is true
This level
>>339243294
I had more trouble with the stupid stealth mission before it, like fuck.
>>339244085
Oh god, the cover art was THAT bad?!
My childhood must've glossed over it...
>>339243294
People had trouble with this mission? Did you use nothing but Scouts or something the whole game?
>>339242427
>that structure on Delta Halo when you're trying to get to Regret
>there's at least 15 of these fuckers
I can still remember their positions perfectly

yes yes, the mission i had a hard time with was a cakewalk for you, i get it. prey tell, what was the hardest chapter for you in that game?
Fuck this miltank
>pre-patch
>without cheating
>>339245262
God Hand had 4 levels of difficulty
Level 1 was the easiest and the enemies move significantly slower and hit for far less damage
>>339246858
This isn't hard, it's just tedious.
>>339246685

Chapter 10
>>339242123
This entire game is a casual filter.
I bet casuals can't even get past the first Alliance mission.
>>339247020
Me. If you picked the fire starter you can buy Flamethrower in the same city too so you have it early. Helps with Miltank too.
>Alright, you're hot and heavy. Don't run into anything, or you and that missile are toast
if you didn't pick up the solid granite car at the beginning, this is a long and tedious fight
>>339243925
no
>>339242362
You mean this level.
>>339247109
Armored core becomes pretty easy once you get used to them though.
Obviously there's still a few hellish stage that normally have you fight 3+ skilled enemies at the same time.
>hey guys give me things I can learn to repeat to pretend I'm not a casual lol
yioutuber generation is a disease.

>Upgrades were quest related in 2, you couldn't not have an upgrade that everyone else had at that point.
I know, i was referring to the fact that at the time of that mission, you barely have upgraded your stuff to anything's useful.
And all veichles, even the fat ones are relatively fragile once you get spotted. And since you're automatically spotted the moment you start shooting a Hellcat, you have to then spend minutes waiting in a corner for the alarm to cease before going after the next Hellcat. It's excrutiating other than difficult.
when does jak 2 get good
i just fought praxis for the first time and i'd rather be playing ratchet. this game is super shallow
>>339255493
You're right. Undying is casual filter.
DANCE WATER DANCE
>>339256030
It basically continues at the same pace for the remaining 2/3s of the game. Story gets more interesting (I really, REALLY enjoy Jak 2's story and characters), and a few new mechanics are introduced, but if you arnt enjoying it now there's no "aha" moment where it all gets good, that moment already passed.
But how did you not enjoy crossing the giant support beam? Maybe it's nothing special today, but in 2003 seeing the entire city from up there was amazing.
>>339247109
Would this be worth it to buy on vita? Or should I go for 3 first?
>>339253325
both games are easy
how about you play a REAL hard game son
Beep
>going into your first Dunmeri ancestral tomb without a magic or silver weapon, and 5 skill in destruction magic
>this guy slaps your waifu's ass
>wut do?
>Beast eyes
Also whole hard difficulty in that game is a casual filter.
>>339261117
As much bullshit as Mot is I don't consider him a casual filter since he purely dependant on RNG for his beat eyes, even the best team can get face fucked by him
