Can we discuss tactical shooters?

Swat 4 is king of this.
Ghost recon + Mods
Still play it once or twice a year

Ghost Recon Mods were GOAT

It saddens me, that the new GR will become a somewhat comical version of its franchise roots.
Have any of you heard anything about Ground Branch? It's supposed to be a mldern recreation of classic Rainbow Six/Ghost Recon with vehicles. It's looking to be really cool so far, there is a demo on their website thay allows you to test the shooting mechanics, they're insanely solid so far.

Is the current Steam sale on Tom Clancy games a good cop? If so which ones?
>>339130813
I don't see a TC sale
>>339131159
Shit, must've missed it. Ah well.

Regardless, get Rainbox Six 3 and both Vegas games.

The sad part is going 'sandbox' could actually work by giving you a lot of space to try out dynamic tactical approaches compare to the usual corridor shooter.
But you know it's just gonna be usual unbisoft collecting shit.
>>339130636
I'll check it out thanks, that could be just the thing I was looking for.
>tfw Escape from Tarkov is gonna be shit

Sieges pretty good as long as you accept it's not like the previous rainbow six games more like a game of terrorist five a side.
The Division is just werid.

I don't mind Siege for what it ended up being. I mind it because developers marketed it as old school Rainbow game in the making. I mind all the shitty 2010s FPS gimmicks (xray vision, shitty HUD, gottagofast instant animations, retarded "class" Memelands tier characters with respective gimmicks instead of full on customizable Rainbow operatives/terrorists) etc.

Don't forget how the story mode was simply just a cut scene with that chick from how to get away with murder.
Well at least the destruction physics is implemented nicely.

Not anymore
