Do not get me wrong /v/, Metroid will always be one of the most favorite video game series of all time to me. That being said I think Nintendo fucked up when it came to the design of Samus without her powersuit on.

Ironically blizzards nod to Samus in Overwatch, Pharah, has more elements of Egyptian alien bird than Samus does.
Chozo are not egyptian, and it's both conceivable and likely they tried to raise her as close to the way a human would for her benefit. She's wearing a fucking suit of Chozo battle armor, what more do you want? White, blue eyed, and blonde haired are the pinnacle of attractiveness, why pollute that with tattoos or piercings.

The Metroid games were great because there was no narrative and no cutscenes and only the bare minimum of hints needed that compelled you to go from the beginning of the game to the end

The problem is we had literally a perfect system, Nintendo fucked it up, and now people are puzzling to figure out how to "fix" Samus when the answer already exists: In-game she never appears outside of her suit unless you beat the game under a certain set of circumstances. out of her suit she looks like this, which is what she looked like from 1986 to 2007 and nobody had a problem.
