It depends on where on the spectrum the pirate lies. If he's just some dude who pirates everything and wasn't particularly interested in the game but wanted to try it then you're correct. On the other hand, if he was really intrigued by the game but doesn't want to pay, chances are high they'll break down and buy it, or at least wait a while and buy it at sale price.
That's the downside of this retard anti denuvo argument you pirates make. Sure they might not make any extra money from adding Denuvo, but they also don't lose any, not anything significant anyway. And frankly, if I were a game developer I would rather lose a little money than know thousands of people are enjoying the efforts of my labor for free.
In general, you should see Denuvo exactly for what it is: a giant middle finger to pirates and their villages self serving arguments. The game devs couldn't give less of a duck about your opinion, and that's exactly as it should be.

I'm not really worried about Denuvo in any case, uncrackable ir otherwise. The list of games using Denuvo is so unbelievably small that it hardly even registers as a threat, and the price for using it is so high that only AAA game devs are even capable of slapping it on their games. Maybe some day the Denuvo devs will make it accessible to everyone, but when that happens it'll probably get completely obliterated. As much as I hate the " I wasn't gonna play those games anyway" argument, it really is the only reason Denuvo has managed to stay alive this long. Once it becomes a actual, serious threat to piracy instead of the background bitch it is right now, it'll be gone.
