I don't really think the Geth did that. Most everything we get about the Geth comes from biased sources that are also very very outdated. The Geth-Quarian war was 300 years before the setting, all the Quarians involved died a long time ago, the only surviving members that participated were Geth.
And aside from the Geth that decided to side with the Reapers, the rest of the Geth are very reasonable creatures. I trust Legion and he made it pretty clear the Geth only rose up in self defense, and did not kill Quarians just for the hell of it. They outright made the decision to spare them even though they could indeed have killed every single Quarian.
The Quarians are very clearly shown to be by and large ignorant idiots, and they have at best fourth hand testimony of what actually happened on their homeworld.

Inquisition made me fall asleep, but mass effect 2/3 was actually fun, playing vanguard/engineer and mixing other biotic powers made the game worth of replays on insanity.
But the story is always fucked, they should really hire some quality writer to either work the story or write something new himself.
I dont know about the guys working only on dragon age, but the crew working on mass effect managed to create a okay gameplay, everyone has to begin somewhere, and for a bunch of college grads they at least managed to get the gameplay mostly right.
