Actually it's a common trick to schedule a software release to the public on a monday or a tuesday, but the deadline to have everything working is on the previous friday. If anything goes wrong you still have the weekend to fix it before opening it to the general public.
Literally the only thing that can go wrong is 1 billion people hammering the servers down, the rest of the game is long completed and deployed.

There is literally no doubt that they will add more shit over time. New heroes, new maps, and 100% chance of new cosmetics. ESPECIALLY if this ends up making them bank. Blizzard isn't the kind of company to give up on something profitable.

A lot of the cooldown abilities you can just think of as recharging secondary items in something like TF2. Like, instead of switching to your secondary and throwing a jarate or drinking a bonk every 10 seconds you just hit one button instead of two.
