Jesus, why is this game so fucking unfair?

>Try to run away so that I can stop to aim
>Most of the enemies are as fast if not faster than my character
>Even if I manage to stop, aim and shoot, by the time I have killed 2 monsters the entire horde is already in front of me
Also I can't fucking heal myself because whenever I pick an armor shard a bunch of monsters spawn

You gotta get serious. Im working my way through TFE on serious difficulty in single player. Its pretty unforgiving. I find you're basically picking up armor and fighting off the ensuing hoarde and hopefully trying to scrape together 10-20 remaining armor by the end of the fight. If not, you'll slowly be wittled down and beaten.Fuck marsh hoppers though

Kill scorpions first
Learn how to manage ammo, don't be scared of using something bigger, but don't waste it on some weak enemies
Different weapons are good at countering different enemies
