anyone hype for this? comes in two days
>>
>>338387343
Hype as fuck, but don't expect /v/ to respond to this thread.

You can only have a P* thread these days by baiting.

I'm really looking forward to this game because I've got three friends getting it on the same day and we can play through the game together.

I'm also a fan of online co-op that lets you continually level up and gain equipment, I played through Dragon's Crown until my PS3 died (Only 20 levels from 255 with Wizard ;_;)
>>
I'll give it a shot.
Been a while since Turtles was handled by a competent developer.
>>
>>338387343
I'm sorta hype, but I have heard that it's shit and very short.
>>
>>338387821
I've heard that too...from people here who posted a playthrough video of single player on easy where they played worse than Polygon's Doom guy.

Supposedly a SP playthrough is 5 hours, but if you're only going to play this 4-player online co-op diablo-style game once in single player just don't bother buying it
>>
Denuvo?
>>
>>338387343
Yeah, this looks fun and I want to pick it up. But I have no friends for co-op and like other posters have said it seems short which kinda sucks.

I wonder if there's any actual skill required or if it's just total button mashing.
>>
>>338387343
After Transformers, I'm mixed-hype.

It played like a great Platinum game, but it lacked both the platinum-feel and felt short on Transformers lore.
I'm expecting that again but with co-op on Turtles.
>>
>>338388465
There's definitely going to be skill involved on the higher difficulties, it's platinum.

AFAIK you don't need IRL friends to play the co-op, there should be a matchmaking system. It seems to be very similar to something like Diablo or Dragon's Crown where you'd play through the same stages on multiple difficulties and with different people trying to gather loot and level up to get strong enough to take on the next difficulty.
>>
Idk with Platinum you can always expect the same game and a short playthrough. Just gonna be a beat-em-up which I'm fine with, but $40 is too high for it.
>>
>>338389106
>40 dollars is too much
Get a job, hippie.
>>
I don't feel like I will ever be satisfied with a TMNT game to the fullest, it'll be good but I feel it won't be what I want.
>>
>>338388632
Yeah, this is another one of Platinum's franchise deal games so it'll play well but lack the polish they're known for.
>>
>>338389779

100k a year and I already bought it. I just know from experience that Platinum games (Korra and Transformers) are overpriced.
>>
>>338389908

I hope you're joking because Turtles in Time is perfect.
>>
>>338389957
Korra was like $15
>>
>>338388632
This. This right here. I love Platinum but we all know this is just a quick cash grab for them and while for a cash grab it'll probably be a great one it's not the game we want it to be. Still I want.
>>
>>338389908
it feels like after turtles in time they were trying to replicate what made that game succesful but we get beat em ups that dont feel like it
>>
As long as it plays as well as Transformers did, I'm hype.

Yeah, the dearth of unique assets might be a mark against it, but the combat is wonderful -- like a step or two ahead of Bayo in some ways kind of wonderful -- and honestly if you expect a big number for singleplayer playtime, you're probably not very familiar with the genre anyway.

The turtles look like shit and they gave April the good old Gwen Tennyson treatment.

Gameplay looks good though will stay tuned.
>>
Platinum games are fucking terrible. I might pick it up in a sale as a Turtles fan, but it's going to be shit like everything else they've ever made.
>>
>>338390116

Not him but $29.99 originally I believe.
>>
>>338390673
No it wasn't. It has always been $15. Bought it the day it came out.
>>
>>338390673
>>338390750
You are both right, $30 was the physical retail price
>>
>>338390554
I think you unlock new skins as you play. I think there's even some "classic" turtles ones maybe.

Korra wasn't sold physically. It was $15.
>>
I know fully well it'l turn out exactly like korra and transformers.

The game never had a physical release. Unless you count a game key card a physical release.
>>
>>338391827
Fun for a week or two at a nice discount?

If you're referring to the 3DS release:

>developer Webfoot Technologies has created a separate Nintendo 3DS title with a similar story line, The Legend of Korra: A New Era Begins. This single-player, turn-based strategy roleplaying game will be available on October 28 as a retail-only product for $29.99.

>separate Nintendo 3DS title
>A New Era Begins
>turn-based strategy roleplaying game

... it's a completely different game. It's not a 3DS skew of the same game, it's a totally unique title.
>>
>>338392260
>Avatar universe
>TBS

This is the first I've heard of it. Was it any good?
>>
>>338393012
I don't think anyone actually played it.
>>
>>338392260
The funny thing about this is Wayforward made this

Why is that funny?
Wayforward and Platinum are both fantastic when doing what they want to do, but they also seem to be Activision's bitchboy when making licensed games.
>>
>>338393195
Wayforward didnt make the Korra game
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WayForward_Technologies

They do make shit games for Activision though

Get off of the computer and take a walk, anon.
>>
>>338387343
Yeah...not really
I'm a bit tired of PG shit. It's fine if others are okay with this but for me, I just looking to Nier and maybe Scalebound
PG really need to drop the Hack nd slash genre for a time, is already becoming a Omega Force case

Transformers was fun, TMNT looks fun too but I'm disappointed as fuck that there's no multiplayer and it seems that its short as fuck so yeah, maybe when it costs $30 or less
>>
I wanted an M rated Turtles game. Fuck this gay ass baby tier game.
>>
Does Turtles have anything going on outside that Nick cartoon?
>>
>>338393765
Comics, the movies, the games. Christ are you gay?
>>
If there's matchmaking then I'd go for it and run into games and meet new people. Otherwise I don't see my online friends picking this up anytime soon.

I understand why it couldn't be couch co-op but that don't mean I gotta like it.
>>
>>338393642
The whole focus of the game is 4-player co-op.
