>a band of musicians travel around the world in search of crisis and tragedy to help lift the despairs of people they find
Why aren't games like this made anymore?
MGS 3 when BB just fucking losses it at the boss's grave.

Rhythm games are a dying genre anon.
speaking of rhythm games, the acoustic cover of the legendary them got me misty eyed the first time I heard it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zacUcCCOoRwthe ending message was cheesy in gitaroo man, but its inspired me to not be such a quitter, it's weird which video games affect you
Only one.

Her's was the last route I played. I was already broken by this point and then they went into the garage. Nothing could have prepared me for that.
>>338354630
It didnt have to end this way...

What's even more sad is Mistwalker making shit iOS games and a fucking Wii game after that...
>>338356263
Game?
>>338355953
Oh god I forgot how fucking good the Thousand Years of Dream stuff was, if only the rest of the game had been able to live up to that writing.

A few
Nier
PMD 2Undertale
LISA
The end of world of goo choked me up for some reason. Little blobs tirelessly climbing and falling, working together, trying to go high enough to reunite with their far away brothers. The soundtrack was a big help too.

I think Life is Strange had a lot of problems, the writing was poor in a lot of places, but the game really, really hit the nostalgia bone pretty hard.
The part where you just lay in Chloe's room after breaking into the school the night before made my eyes water. A bunch of nostalgic longing for the days when my friends and I would play video games until 4 am while eating shitty foods and just shooting the shit bubbled up. Realizing where I am in life, working regular hours at a job I tolerate in a city half way across the country from my hometown, with that cozy ass room and the soft, lilting music playing really fucking got to me.
Ive cried to some games that I get into but Kara No Shoujo fucked me up so much that it made me literally want to kill myself.

>Ilias comes down to congratulate the hero, and allows him to claim the treasure chest in the room as it is rightfully his.
>Inside is the tail ribbon that Luka bought for Alice; Ilias wonders why a monster would cling onto a cheap item such as this.
"This is a sanctuary for the lost and wretched.
There is nothing here for you to pillage or plunder.
Please, leave quietly."
>>338354630"It's alright, Claus. Let it go. Don't be afraid. Mother is here with you."
Some shit like that. Can't recall the exact words. It fucking wrecked me, hard. Cried like a faggot.

GTI made me cry so fucking hard, that shit broke my heart into a million pieces
Even if the gameplay was shittier, I loved how my partner was more about "US" and "THE GUILD" rather than "ME ME ME IT'S ALL ABOUT ME" which is what I felt with the others. T
hey weren't bad in terms of story, but I did feel a bit detached.
>>338360791
Mah nigga!
I just got the True Ending of the Second Episode.
Sad as fuck.
Currently playing through the first one and man, those poor girls get sliced the fuck up.
I was surprised that one super tall chick who does Kendo lives.
Never.
>>338361623
GTI broke me the hardest too
gameplay was shit but it had a good story.comparing dark matter and bittercold, while they resolved dark matter better, the way it would "talk" made me not take it seriously
>>338354630Halo 3
Idk why, probably because I was a retarded teen at the time.

Once.
>friend and I play all our games together
>go to same college and have been friends for more than a decade at this point
>started a guild together when wow came out and eventually get to third best raiding guild on a pretty good server
>take a break from wow to study for finals because I didn't do so well
>he keeps joking about how they don't have any problems finding a warlock to replace me
>get my grades back, they're pretty great and I managed to pull my only D up to a C by knocking the final out of the park
>I tell him and the next night we go out to a bar to celebrate us passing another semester
>we get a ride from a friend/dd
>our car got creamed by a fucking semi on the way back
>I wake up a day later with a broken finger and a a cut that didn't even need stitches
>he didn't make it to the hospital
>first time logging on to wow after
>guild message of the day is to check the info for an announcement
>check guild info
>"Shout out to Anon for passing his finals! Now we get to play this game as God intended, with our best warlock and my best friend helping us through it. Allegations that he never bothers to learn any role other than his own will be met with severe consequences. (Even if they're true, lazy fuck)" followed by a raid schedule
I cried for about an hour I think. Only time I cried since was when my wife died.
Everytime I defeated a colossus, I felt really bad inside. That's not a victory song. That's not a fanfare. You just murdered an innocent creature to further your selfish interests.

Undertale made me cry a lot.
>>338355953
The dream sequences completely overshadowed the game's actual storyline due to the fact they hired an actual novelist to write them
Lost Odyssey was so boring. The only decent character was Jansen or whatever his name was.
>>338362802
>they hired an actual novelist to write them
Oh well that explains a shit ton, I loved the dreams but goddamn the game was the most generic and boring shit imaginable
>>338362567

Runescape.
Knowing I'll never EVER be young and able to play this game for the first time again. Knowing I'll never go around with my bros on our own little quests, exploring new and foreign lands.
It just pains me never again being able to experience trying to get over the White Wolf Mountain as a level 20 to get to this 'Catherby' that is apparently very good for fishing, and then spending all week talking and fishing my way to 60.
