I've watched every stream and that's well over 10 hours of gameplay from every faction. Loading times are lightning fast, turn times are almost non-existant, and I haven't seen any major bug yet. It also perfoms better than Attila, and that's always a welcome sight.

Depends on what difficulty you play on. The game is basically line formations of infantry crushing into line formations of infantry and using cav to flank.
It's honestly really simple as far as micro. The most micro intensive thing you can do is recharge cav, or kiting with archers if you really want.
This game looks to have some units with magic that might have some unique micro mechanics, though.

This game gives me an erection. It's been years and YEARS since I played an RTS of any kind. Shogun 2 in early 2013 was the last one so for me; it'll feel like a new genre. A new experience.

I've never played a Total War game but really love Warhammer Fantasy. Watching twitch streams of people who have it early, the battles look fun, but so much time seems to be spent on the overworld. I think most people consider the Total War games to be the most brain dead out of grand strategy games. It looks kinda complicated but it's really just -
income = taxation
more taxes = more unhappiness
more unhappiness = less population
less population = less opportunities to raise taxes

Generating positive emotion requires work and effort be put into something. Up until a few years ago, that "something" was TV. You'd watch TV to entertain yourself.
Now we've figured out that this property is transitive, and we can get happiness by watching other people do stuff. The "teen/adults/whatever react to X" proves that this is a powerful property indeed, as we're essentially feeding of people's reactions as to not have to create our own.
