No, that's just what the autists say. The games are pretty fun RPGs on their own, they really make you think on how you should build your party and how to synergize you team(except maybe the first one where the obviously broken classes seemed like the only way to go). I actually love games that are light on the story like EO, especially the very first game. The reveal at the end really made it worth it, though from there on they did try to incorporate more story by shoving more NPCs to run into, and even giving you alternate endings in 3.

EOU2 also works well, but trying to go back to 4 may be a bit rough since it'll feel a bit dated and U2 improves on U1 in every conceivable way (anybody who tells you how the fuck grimoires work in Untold 1 is either insane or lying)

How can one game have so many GOAT boss tracks
I tried to fucking play the 4th game, but it feels like a savescumming/babystep gameplay. You can lose 20-30 mins of gameplay constantly. I looked up the FOV from first dungeon, after that I've had moments where i'm dodging a FOV monster and suddenly get an encounter and he joins in, and the "escape" works like 1/10 times out of personal expierence. Does the game branch out in classes etc, or is what i've played untill the 4th dungeon what i'll be encountering the rest of the game?

Use the enemy radar to know when you will be getting a normal encounter. Don't get into a FOEs range while the radar is red. Often the encounter rate will be lowered on tiles where the game expects a FOE to be on your ass, so you should be able to get through them without anything else.

I'm pretty sure you can look at your whole class tree from the beginning.
You can multiclass later on, to get some skills from a secondary class.

You can set up some really neat synergies with the multiclassing system, but I don't think Runemaster has anything particularly interesting.
You can read the whole skill tree without unlocking anything, so look for yourself to decide.

Explore the rest of the floor in Gladsheim. After you fight the boss there the third stratum will open up.

Glad to see EO has become one of Atlus' main series, it was always fun to read all the development stories the director had put on the original EO1's website at http://www.atlus.com/etrian/.
Been going back to replay old games I kind of dropped since I got too lazy to continue these days. Just beat the gimped Core in EOU's story moe, not sure if I should make a NG+ now with the classic mode. Also playing EO Mystery Dungeon, it's actually pretty fun. I should go back and finish Persona Q too while I'm at it.
