The actual number of people who stayed around for the other DLC cant even be compared to the number of people it collected at launch, and this is a 10 year franchise. Real talk, the first raid in the base game was legit pretty cool. There were some puzzles that took trial and error, and some really byzantine shit going on, but it was cool to go through it blind with other people, figuring out all the secrets and finally coming out on top after several hours of play. It's the one thing the game did right, but it was the only raid available for MONTHS. All the other shit in the game was mediocre.

If they actually made combat harder than it might be fun, but when every enemy takes only 2 shots to kill, what's the point? It's because even though the mission design and variety is shit, the basic shooting is great. Weapons feel good and enemies respond really well to taking damage. Hitting the sweet spot on most enemy types, from Cabal to Vex, has a satisfying impact to it. Yet while they nailed the shooting when developing the game, they neglected to build actual content around it.I only stopped playing when all my friends stopped.

Dont worry i already stopped playing long ago in October for many reason. Bungie had a chance to create a decent campaign, multiplayer maps and balance PvP. They failed and I saw almost all the content TTk had to offer in just a day. I will say that the raid was fun and the strikes were innovative, but they arent worth 40 dollars. The entire auto aim stat enhanced/modified by perks such as Hidden Hand and your range stat would be null and void and entire weapon sets would need rebalancing if destiny came tosuperiormouse and keyboard controls. Destiny honestly feels like a fucking insult every time I hear something new about it. From the very beginning with the $500,000,000 budget was announced for the series, I knew that we would never stop hearing about it for the next ten years. But I didn't think that Bungie would go this route of nickel and diming literally every person who supported them.
I cannot express the relief I feel at not purchasing the game. I almost picked up Taken King physically recently, but seeing this I'm so glad I didn't. But at this point, Destiny 2 will fucking be out soon, and they'll literally repeat the entire cycle all over again.
I'll probably pick up this one though if it's confirmed to be the last one.

I stopped when they re-nerfed PvE Shotguns.Those were fucking hot trash for a good 8 months, then they were buffed to being great, strong, and usable, and then Bungie decided enough was enough and retrashed them because being able to two-shot a yellow chiclet Knight was overpowered on paper. Ignore the fact that in any situation where that mattered meant you were risking getting oneshot in return.
Talk to me when they roll PvP balance back to release and then just renerf Mytho, give SUROS a love tap or two, re-instate the "No Final Round Snipers" bullshit and keep the "No Rangefinder Shotpackage Shotgun" rule. Oh, and probably keep the Pulse Stability Buff.
