You could try and get some coding experience by making mods for existing games. I learned coding by making a mod for Amnesia - The Dark Descent, since there's tons of online help to get you started.
I tried making a VN once by using self-made Amnesia levels and using picture effects in Word to make it look like it was a painted background. Since I cannot do any character art whatshowever I just dropped it.

It's not free and it's not easy. Even if you are skilled at either writing, drawing or composing, there's no way you are skilled at all three of them so you'll have to hire others or somehow convince people to work for free. And even if you are skilled in one of the tasks, it's a huge undertaking and it will take your all.
