Script Extender is required for a lot of other mods. ArchiveInvalidation Fire Generator is required if you're modding textures.
JSawyer is pretty much the last official patch. Outside Bets restores a lot of NPCs they cut out after the game released.
But YUP is the only 100% absolutely necessary mod, since it fixed most of the bugs left over

its very fun, but not the kind of fun that NV has. its a glorified theme park. the world doesnt feel real but its still fun to explore. by explore i mean, you know when you first enter disneyland and you're looking at all the rides? yeah it's that kind of exploration. after taking the ferris wheel ride, you look around to find if theres any rides or amusement shit you've missed. the NPCs are those actors that cosplay as mickey mouse or gaston and shit, they don't have any real personality. the quests are just "there". the combat is just the ride/snacks that go along with the theme ride.
tl;dr the whole game is a glorified disneyland
