You all need to stop freaking out, the later parts of the game are still going to e plenty hard and no doubt harder than anything in the demo, but scaling your difficulty to let the player learn how the game works is how good game design works. Even games that are considered well-received and difficult like DMC3 and Dark Souls have easy starts

There was nothing "difficult" nor engaging about Nioh's durability.

Smash a couple boxes and you were then swimming in whetstones and glue. The only presence Durability had in the demo was making you stop for fifteen seconds every now and then to use an item that you don't have to worry about rationing.

It's not like Way of the Samurai 1-3 (Heat bar that builds if you swing over-aggressively or block too much in a short amount of time) nor Monster Hunter (Sharpness you need to keep in top condition to land blows against armored beasts) where you actually manage your weapon's durability in the middle of a fight.

Nioh's durability as it is was a pointless waste of time. Barring replacing it with something more consequential, getting rid of it was the best option.

If you up the difficultly, sure, the enemies start doing huge amounts of damage. But the standard difficulty isn't hard and the higher difficulties are just tedious as it just comes down to using the shield over and over once you've taken a hit to get your health back.
Uncharted on the highest difficulty is stupidly hard, that doesn't make it well balanced

Enemies following you forever is a good thing to do. It brings about frantic battles and the requirement to play smart. Dumbing down enemies because some people are fucking stupid is never a good thing.

Unless they do it in a smart way so you have to lose the enemies with skill instead of just running a specific distance.
