Has a video game ever got you in trouble with your parents when you were younger?
Why are parents so scared of kids getting exposed to sexually explicit content? I don't get it. Like, when I was 13 I remember my dad giving me some big speech about how I shouldn't watch porn, and I always made sure to hide the fact that I watch porn lest my parents get angry , but I don't know why they would. Like, I'm sure my dad was looking at pornographic magazines when he was my age and whacking off every day. Many of my friends reported similar talks from their parents in their early teen years. If I ever had a son I would be more surprised if he didn't look at porn. As long as hes not into pony fucking or something then its no water off my back.

It's more that parents don't want their kids to be INTO porn. As in spending hours searching and viewing it. If you shame your kids, it's the easy way to ensure they'll probably only beat off when you're away from the house or late at night. You can argue it's not "right," but a lot of people who get to the point where they can spend a quarter of their day beating off to random sites are the kind of people who get into ponies and other weird shit because it's something different.

Every single time they took it to one of those shitty computer shops run by an autist who charges 50% markup on everything and has literally no good hardware, you know the type. Not into trouble, but my dad was playing FEAR on my computer while I was playing Final Fantasy X on the PS2. I got to the part where Tidus and Yuna make out in the lake, and noticed my dad watching me play. If anything, it causes kids to be very secretive about their porn habits which makes it more likely that they'll be up late at night looking at porn. There's no line to draw because all porn will get them in trouble, so there's nothing that really separates weird shit from vanilla porn in their eyes.
If the child has to hide their porn browsing, it's the best way to ensure that as soon as you leave, or go to bed, they'll start looking it up, because they don't know when their next best chance is. Then they associate those times with porn, and it becomes habit.
