Does /v/ like Smite?
It's the only MOBA I've ever player, so I don't have much to compare it to in regards to the genre, but I enjoy it.

Area is shit. Something like Assault or Clash are way better casual type modes. I will agree Conquest is kind of a chore however. Its fun if you have a good team, but when nobody knows what they're doing or you're just generally getting stomped everywhere it feels like a real slug.

The best assfaggots by far where mechanical skill can be a drastic game changing factor between teams. I've played them all, and Smite offers the character depth and lovability that League crafts with none of the annoying bullshit while still managing to have some depth to interest me.
Plus you pay like 20$ and unlock all current and future gods, and it has some fun modes like duels/ARAM/Arena and then of course a few standard lane-jungle objective modes.
That being said, it still suffers from standard assfaggots problems; though not nearly as bad as others. 4v5s can still be won, feeding isn't a huge issue because of the level of mechanical skill needed (for example, you can manipulate your characters in ways you can dodge enemy attacks) and the community is MUCH less toxic than it's counter-parts where if one person is even mediocre they ruin the game for everyone.
After years of DOTA2 and League of Legends, Smite was refreshing and I put 400 hours in it in just a few months. Give it a shot.

It really is. Its pretty mindless death match style mode with no real objective or goal besides killing the other team. Assault is way more fun as the casual mode, and clash is good if you don't want the bullshit Conquest involves.
3vs3 Joust is probably my favourite mode, but it isn't for everyone.

Also Bellona is kinda worthless nowadays. She used to be a monster solo God, but picking her now is like suicide in that lane. Odin does everything Bellona does except way better.

I knew it; you don't have any idea what you're talking about. It's not about killing the enemy team, it's about pushing them back and killing their minions so yours can push into their base. That's where the real points come from. If you're just treating it like a deathmatch, you're bad.

Nigga what? When was the last time you saw a single minion enter the other teams portal? Probably not often. Its a pure team deathmatch mode where killing enemy Gods is key to victory.

You still can't just outright ignore minions. I've won a number of games where the enemy team had a considerable amount of more kills than us. Because while we were losing a 4v5, our wave clearer was escorting minions and siege minions into their base and came out ahead.

You can absolutely ignore minions in the latter half of the match. Of couse you need to kill them and clear waves at the beginning, because you need that delicious jew gold. But most end being killed in the crossfire anyway, and those that aren't rarely make it to your portal before being picked off. Killing enemy Gods is definitely more important.
Smit gotta love it less toxic players than any other MOBA players actually help each other to learn how to play different styles to play love 3v3 and when i just wanna kill go to arena its a game that i need to play once a day cus its too much fucming fun
Never played a MOBA before, this is the only one that interests me due to WASD control method. Should I try it out?

I like it better than any other non-Dota Dotaclone. I don't like the skins though. They clash way too fucking much with the concept of ancient gods.

OK I normally never reply to this shit b u t if you are not/cannot get minions in the portal you either suck or are playing wrong.
It's only death match when 1 team is shit and does not know when to pull back and gets slaughtered otherwise it is a skill bases struggle for minions
