the thing is that it's pretty faithful to the Ratchet and Clank franchise, and if you're a fan of the games you'll undoutedly enjoy the movie.
The problem is they were banking on being able to draw numbers from outside of the established fanbase. But obviously no one wants to watch a movie based on a game from 15 years ago.
