My friends and I get together and watch it every year more as a tradition thing. It's like watching a train wreck and it's fun to cringe at. It's just fun, maybe dumb, to be a part of the hype.

The reason why its not that fun anymore is because many of the big publishers are pulling out of E3, because the investment it costs isnt worth to them and wit hthe raise of youtube,twitch and the overall internet its more easy to reach your audiance,the press,media and new people with less money then going to E3.
Only Sony is still spending much money on E3 , Nintendo is doing almost nothing because they have nintendo direct,Microsoft isnt making anything big this year and Activision,Blizzard,Disney (star wars game and super heroe games),Wargames and EA are confirmed for not comming to this years E3.
The glory days of E3 are long gone and if they dont change or evolve they will have a hard time to keep publishers and devs to keep spending money for the event.
Even on /v/ its noticeable that people dont talk much about it anymore how we used to do in the past.
