Henchmen were garbage and unusable if you wanted to actually clear content. Heroes were good enough to take away the need of actually forming a party. Because of that, mission areas were always empty, virtually or literally.

The years have passed and I still have't found a replacement for it. I transitioned to wow, but wow too became obsolete.
My only hope at this point is that Blizzard implements legacy servers. Only then will my local community come together.

I actually like GW2, it's not a true successor to GW1 and it's not nearly as good, but I think it's fun in it's own way. I played GW1 off-and-on from 2005 to 2012, and I've been playing GW2 off-and-on from 2012 until now. I haven't totally moved on from GW1, but GW2 has satisfied me to some extent. I still have hope that ANet will return to its glory days.
