This is something I almost always see brought up in Dot Hack threads/discussions/whatever:
Why would anyone want VR in a Dot Hack game? The games were third person, and if the gameplay was changed to suit VR/first person, it probably wouldn't feel like Dot Hack anymore. Yet the first thing I saw when Oculus/PSVR/Vive was announced was "when is Dot Hack?"

i like sora (kite) from the movie
>>337983305
Will I understand that movie if I only played the original tetralogy and G.U. trilogy?
the movie trailer just doesn't feel like .hack if it doesn't have sadamoto art style
We just want our games to send us into comas so we can get the real authentic experience, is that so wrong
Why does everyone hate Elk so much? He's a nice boy. Don't bully him.
>>337984419
he's a faggot kill him
>>337984549
Your English VA sucked Alkaid. Sounded like an old woman trying to sound 16 again. Holy fuck are you hot, but goddamn that voice hurts.
>>337984549
This, and he's was a whiny little bitch in every game he was in.
>>337984648
>not playing the undub
>>337984725
yah but in GU endrance is pretty broken
>>337984916
I don't import faggot and emulation is out for now since a toaster laptop is all I got.
I really want to replay the original 4 but I remember it was grindy as fuck and I don't have the time/patience for it anymore
>>337985565
Plus it'll cost you an arm and a leg to get all 4
>>337984549
Fuck off Alkaid, Elk/Endrance is my husbando, and I'm not even gay.
>>337985565
I feel you anon.
I was really feeling it and now I'm up to Outbreak when everything's happening and I'm just not feeling like spending the next 5 hours collecting virus cores.
>>337985565
The only really grindy part was when you had to level up a ton to beat this fuck. After that, everything was a walk in the park.
>>337984916
I played the games on release so I never worried about undub. May try it now that I have a ps2 with a hard drive.
I just want G.U. On PS4.
>>337983151
what gameplay is there? menu driven spell selection and mashing to attack?
doesn't matter how big the randomly generated world generator is, it would get mapped out pretty quickly
>>337986471
>That one story dungeon that needs like 4 one of a kind virus cores
>Have to do 4 other separate dungeons for it
>Said fuck it back then and just cheat to get the virus cores
>Get to the bottom of the dungeon
>Can't progress because there's actually a story event after you beat the other 4 dungeons that will let you proceed
I think I stopped for about 2 months there
>>337983151
Honestly, I think that in retrospect, the whole .hack thing was a hell of a lot cooler in theory than it actually was in practice. Some legitimately pretty neat stuff, though.
>it was over a decade ago when you used to trove through all those .hack blogs
;_;
>>337985565
I love the games but I could never recommend them because of how repetitive it could get
>>337987187
I love the very vast majority of what the .hack franchise does. Exposing itself to LNs, anime, manga, and games made for a great way to expand upon the world, and almost never run out of shit to find out about it.
remember .hack/gift?
>>337987575
Is it still going? I know that it was huge in Japan in the early-mid '00s and had a brief period of being quite popular in nerd circles in the West around the same time, but you don't really seem to hear much about it anymore. I honestly think the only time I've really thought about it in the past 8 or 8 years was when Kite and Blackrose popped up in PxZ.
>>337987824
Yes, but honestly it would've been better if it had died.It turned into a generic f2p mobile game recently.

Do not remind me...

>>337988323
>Guilty Dragon
I'm not talking about that. They came out with a new one recently called Project New World.
>>337987952
Well, I'm sorry to hear that.
