What are some theories about games you have that you've never confirmed? For instance, I'm pretty sure if you shoot one shot of a full clip on a weapon in Resident Evil 4 and leave it with one shot missing, the game.will give you more ammo for that weapon type, but I don't know how to find out if I'm right or not.

interesting to me too, are there games that have like hidden mechanics that are never mentioned but work really well?
Like in DS3 you randomly get Ectus flasks back from killing enemies, but no one knows what triggers it or when/why.

RE4 has a difficulty slider in normal mode. It will give you mote ammo drops if you waste more bullets. Also it will not give you ammo drops of weapons you havent bought/adquired. Fixed ittems arent affected by this.

The ammo drop system of re4 is quite well known already. The game drops ammo for weapon that you have less ammo for.
What comes to secret features in games, The Game Developers Toolkit channel on YT did a fine video about re4's dynamic difficulty level

Those only trigger on hard enemies, like invaders, the red eyed knights with 2 handed swords or NPCs, it isn't random at all.

In pokemon, if you get you def down you atk will go up (slightly) and viceversa.

I thought you received an Estus when someone lights or rests at the last bonfire you rested at?
>>337931017
There'd be absolutely no fucking challenge with that fuck huge amount of estus.
>>337930702
darkwraiths too
>>337931017
no
In dark souls 1 you'd get one if someone reinforced the bonfire

I honestly think it's tied to the amount of damage you do in a short amount of time. I remember hearing the sound when swiping through a bunch of mob enemies in the untended graves.

Ratchet and Clank has a dynamic difficulty system where there's less enemies or they have less health if you die repeatedly, if I remember correctly.

Your rival will choose a different eveelution depending on whether you beat them in the first few fights in pokemon yellow.

whats up with the trader being killable, yet he will appear in future locations.
fucking capcom and their plotholes.
also always surprises me how many people don't know that you can kill the trader, i instantly tried doing that.
>>337931781
That's not really a plothole. The merchant isn't even a part of the plot. It's just a funny thing you can do.
>>337930363
It's tied to certain enemies.
>>337930543
Where can I read in-depth about the mechanics of the game?
>>337930682
Will check them out.

Mercy, maybe?
