In most shooter threads, the threads keep their momentum when people argue about this or that weapon. Faction x or y is overpowered and so on. But with Overwatch a lot of it was sustained with pictures of Tracer's ass rather than with gameplay discussion.
The gameplay discussion is there, but there really hasn't been much of it. I don't think there's that much to discuss. Overwatch kind of is what it is, and nobody has had time to develop exploitative, obnoxious strategies yet except for flashbang Mcree and camping Bastion.

Discussion about the game itself is less likely to happen if no one can play it, and discussion about balance is a crapshoot since Blizz can do all sorts of shit between when the beta ended and when release occurs. When the beta was running all those discussions were going on and the board was covered in good covnersation, when people can't play they don't talk about it as much which leaves the waifuists to shit up the place.
