Today I'm being visited by my nephew and he always wants to play on my PS4. I though about giving him latest Ratchet & Clank to play, but I already beat this game and have my save ready to start a NG in a near future (challenge mode). But it would be too difficult for him, I wanted to give him a new game experience on easy mode, so what happens if I select new game now after I beat this game? Will I lose everything? Or does it create another save?

Just upload your save to the cloud or put it on a USB, voila

Does the new R&C have multiple save slots? I know the old ones did. Try hitting new/load game to see if it brings up that 'create new file' screen. Otherwise, no.

xD he is just 6, so easy mode with totally new save state will be the best.

Exactly IDK if it does, it seems like it doesn't which is pretty weird in 2016.

It's safe to start a new game OP.
After you start it "load game" is added to the menu.
I hope he has fun!

What do you mean exactly? If I beat game once, and I am left with Challenge Mode, Continue (which is the last boss over again) and New Game and I will select New Game it creates a new save?

Yeah, the new game gets made and your option for challenge mode doesn't go away.

Did you try this option? I really don't want to lose my save state :D.

Yeah I've done it.
I wanted to retry the game with level 1 stuff and get them to the level I wanted for Challenge mode and my original save remained.

Awesome. Thanks. Will do backup save anyways :D.
