Do people still VOIP anymore when they play games? My vidya community of 8 years just shut down and I need a new home base, but public servers seem really hard to find these days.

It's this VOIP thing where you dont even need to download the client, just click a link and you can chat and voice in browser. There's no search function but you can find public servers on sites like https://www.carbonitex.net/

It's pretty active and easy to find people to play vidya with, sometimes I go there just to shoot the shit though. There's others like prowling videogame congregation and stuff if you look around.

Not that anon but it depends. Slow games with downtime I'd rather listen to some background music and type, but something more fast paced voice chat is the way to go.

My friends and I use Discord like every day. It's pretty nice and some servers are massive. I'm not very social so the 2 servers I chat in are extremely small. Less than 10 people in each and even less are active every day.
