Worst part of her is that she's literally unbeatable in fight scenes. As far as I can remember, nobody else in the entire franchise is straight up unbeatable in a fight.
You get QTE events, but failing and succeeding them gives you basically the exact same result, except for one headbutt- and when you do land a punch, the giant leaping hit that takes her and the building down while she's beating the shit out of Sam, it doesn't even really stop her.
As a character otherwise, I have no real qualms with her. She's a third party who's only in it for Rafe's money.
Threads on /v/ made me think she was literally unbeatable in all aspects, but she clearly has problems with being strong-headed, loses a fuck-ton of her Shoreline mercenaries,which spurs her men to betray her, andalmost dies at Sam's hands.
So her leaving without a proper "comeuppance" is only her taking her many, many losses and cutting out before she dies on an errand she never really believed in.

Nigga are you retarded? The game is literally about the swashbuckling character getting older, and growing out of the phase after too many close calls with his life and the ones he loves.
It's the perfect story for a game 4 titles into the series. They could have given you more of the same, but instead they deepen his character by showing what it's like when he sees error in his ways, and tries to adjust to a normal life instead.
The epilogue was the best but hardest part for me to deal with. You see this greying Nate, former adventurer and action hero, now thrust into having to explain the things he's done, the things he's stolen, and the graves he's dug. I would kill for there to be a long ass cutscene, fuck a movie even, that just let's me sit and listen to Nate and Elena recounting the adventures we've been on to their child; her reactions to these events bouncing back at them.
This game could not exist without the previous three, and that's kinda magical.

Someone in another thread suggested DLC for the Nathan Drake Collection that had Nate and Elena narrating everything from their points of views for all three games with Cassie interrupting with questions or comments. It's a pretty good idea.

Uncharted 1's sucked, Uncharted 2 was decent but a bullet sponge, and Uncharted 3 was beating up on a health sponge with a pretty set dressing. Rafe's battle added a new element to the melee combat while still relying on stuff that you've learned throughout the game (cornering people, identifying and breaking out of grapples)

Yeah, I really liked it.
I like the split between Nathan and Rafe.
Nathan, who started with nothing and worked hard to become a legend.
Rafe, who started with everything and had nothing to show for it.
They're like reversals of each other and I kind of wish that aspect had been played up more because I think it could have made for some great tension between them, and it's a good, relatable motivation for Rafe.
Just a shame we don't understand that side of him until he goes totally berserk.
