Again, it's the fancy, not necessarily the rich aspect of her, that this is about. It's purely on that aspect of her upbringing. The whole game they tell you that since childhood she's been groomed. All her time spent was on becoming the perception of a person with social status, a leader, and a shadow fighting weapon. There's a reason why the vast majority of her character interaction with others is like that of a leader than normal talk. This is evident in even the minute dialogues (when Yukari says "ugh whys she like this?")
Your articles/movies point is not only wrong because both things can show the wrong way of doing things just as easily as the right one, but also it is completely against her character to spend time on something like that which would be a personal curiosity for her if anything. We have already established that her life was more about what others wanted it to be than she herself.
