In high traffic streams, no one is going to notice your message if you just post basic shit, so since everyone wants to get their voice heard, it all just devolves into spam.

People flock to these type of games, and the streamer supports it because it brings him money. He could enforce and make mods lock down cancerous people on chat, but why would he when he makes rivers of money out of memes?

I don't frequent Twitch except for the 4CC but I've noticed that some people never say anything besides spamming emotes or repeating what someone said earlier.
I think Twitch attracts a lot of boring and lonely guys, the kind who joins a guild but never talk in the gchat, and spamming is the only way they know to have the feeling they belong in a community.
To be honest, I prefer the average normie to any Twitch baby at this point.

He even tried variety streaming and lost over half of his typical numbers he would get on a primetime stream. It's ridiculously how much of the Hearthstone viewers are just dead space. A guy like Trump who gets 20k every night has under 2k people watching him play Dark Souls. These guys are fucked if they ever want to stream something else than Hearthstone. And truth to be told, Hearthstone is not fucking fun if you want to play it 8 hours every fucking night.
