Every time I make a Battleborn thread, people swarm in making the same negative remarks and posting the same pictures. It happens so often that it has to be the work of Blizzard. Meanwhile, dozens of Overwatch threads are allowed and posts critical of Overwatch are routinely deleted.

Their are a lot of forced memes in the game which are pretty cringe inducing but overall it's a very well designed game with a nice amount of content.
There's a lot of variety in hero mechanics however some balance issues centering around melee characters being able to dominate due to the difficulty of aiming at someone jumping around a ranged player.
The online games can be extremely fun and the PVE is a nice addition although I'd say team balancing still needs to be addressed, too often you're grouped up with level >10 and go against a team of power gamers all above level 50.
Overall I'd say it's a fun game which is the most important part but it does have a lot of room for improvement with balancing.

Sounds like either the matchmaking system is fucked or there aren't enough players to generate a balanced match, either way this is really bad for a game so close to launch. First impressions are key and people put off by getting unfairly matched up now won't return later

I picked up battleborn for 20 bongbucks and have found there is a tonne of content compared to the 2 game modes and handful of static characters in overwatch.
I might eventually get OW if they actually add some depth, but definitely not on release. 1 day in the open beta was enough time to experience all the game has.

Player level is not considered in matchmaking, they keep track of your MMR and use that instead.
However, I don't believe there are enough players for the matchmaker to always generate good matches, so it puts whatever it gets against whatever it can.

If the game would be worth it, the player numbers would be stable. But instead it loses nearly 500 player every 2-3 days.
Gearbox can't even appeal to new players since the deserve no trust in running a MP game, the game seems also so good that even those who own it, abandon it after playing for a few hours.
Since it's a new game and the PR stunts (and shilling) is massive I suspect that the influx of players is actually ok, but the leave rate is that much higher.
