Depends on what your looking for.
If you speak nip look into GOTHA, it's a strategy RPG that wants desperately to be Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
If your into runin and gunin, go try Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru, aka Psycic Killer Taormaru. It's sorta like Contra, but in feudal Japan. Just don't run out and buy a copy, they're getting close to a grand now.
For fightan, go check out Asuka 120% Burning fest, or it's sorta kinda official patch Asuka 120% Limit Over. It plays kinda like Waku Waku 7 if it wasn't completely nuts.

KH1 is a pretty good action RPG, but KH2 Final Mix is by far the best Action RPG in general. Bosses are well designed as if they had a FF Boss gimmick to them, but its basically in real time. Music is god tier, controls are god tier, and graphics will stand the test of time forever.

Cave Story is sort of like what you'd get if you took the the style of shooty gameplay of a Mega Man game, gave it an explorable world like Metroid, but gave it a storyline the quality of a Final Fantasy game (while avoiding the issue of too many cutscenes). Its very fast paced, has a good difficulty progression, and has really strong characters, which is surprising considering the gameplay to cutscene ratio is strongly in favor of gameplay. It also has great music.

Level design and OST are much better. I like the stricter controls more too. Castlevania 1 still is a very great game.
I've already played Bloodborne and it's one of my favs too. Never played Risk of Rain though, isn't the level design procedurally generated? I don't like that kind of game

Yeah Link's Awakening is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. I'm heavily nostalgic for it, too. It was my first Zelda and I never forgot the first time I played through it when I was about 8 or so. One of the very few games that made me emotional when I completed it. I hate RDR though lol.

Really, both Mother and Ace Attorney are extremely strong trilogies.
Currently I'm playing Rabi-Ribi, it's a pretty solid metroidvania with great boss battles; maybe check it out yourself.
I've got mixed feelings about the direction ZTD is taking things, but you never know until you play it.
At least I snagged the watch bundle while it was still there.

Yeah. Most people who never played it assume it plays like an unpolished BC2, but while unpolished it played nothing like the sequel. It was much more slower paced and vast enough to give you a breathing room, something which has been missing in the franchise since BC1.

You seem to love both of the KOTOR games, so I'd unironically suggest maybe playing some of SWTOR. It's an atrocious game (I've played it enough to know so), and its expansions take a huge dump on everything but the 1-50 levelling experience can be quite enjoyable along with all the datapads as they both reference the KOTOR games and bring a little bit of their own magic into the mix.
