Mika, Alex, and Birdie have all they need to compete, I think. Mika has looping 50/50s and Birdie and Alex have actual buttons with reach. I don't know enough about Laura, but since no one plays her she sucks I guess. Only grappler who is bad is Gief.

This game is going so good for me:

I am fine with the default look for Alex in SFV. However him not having the bomber jacket as any of the three costumes is a crime so that's the sole reason why I downloaded the mod.

Him having no answer to Chun Li instant air legs literally makes him unplayable in a competitive environment.
And if that's not enough then all of his moves being unsafe, having no way to open people up, and just all around being completely garbage seals the deal.

Alex is a very fun character.
He's also kinda bad, he's got average life and stun but his non CH damage is kinda shitty. He gets no good oki off powerbombs or most knockdowns in general, his main pressure tool needs you to be point blank in order to not whiff and despite his huge stun output on individual attacks he has a hard time keeping the stun bar from depleting. No real reversal and 4f jab hurts his defense a lot. His overhead is kinda shitty too but that's not a huge deal.
Also DDT > Headbutt
I hate him. He plays exactly like birdy except his grabs are slower and he doesn't have a sweet soda projectile to give him more options. So disappointed.
