Console war inanity aside, was Pokken any good? Like I like the battle system I tried out in the demo but is there more than just fighting? It don't need to be a full-on Pokemon game just with the fancy new battle system, but I'd like something a little more than just "Arcade, Split screen, Online"

It's pretty fun. Easy to get into even if you suck at fighting games, but it has a really steep learning curve. However, once you find a Pokémon you like you pretty much have to stick with it. They all play so drastically different having a secondary is really difficult. Thankfully the game's pretty balanced so you don't really need a secondary.
Also there's a story mode, but it's the epitome of grind. You'll mostly use it as a way of practicing combos and stuff and stuff, don't bother if you want anything else out if it.
