The cheapest mechanical keyboards are the ones that are the most produced.
The ones that are most produced are the ones with more flash than functionality.
To be honest, who's going to give a fuck if you have backlit keys? Everything has pointless illumination to it now.

>>337729581
Problem isnt that its bad, it's that it costs like $300 and isnt mechanical.
>>
>>337731830
>not understanding how pricing works
There's a much larger market for keyboards aimed at retards who like backlit keys while keeping the basic hardware from keyboards without backlit keys. The two are essentially the same, but one has less of a market demand so less are produced, pushing up the price.
So you can either spend your money on something with a useless gimmick but all the required functionality, or waste twice as much on something that's exactly the same in terms of hardware but doesn't have backlit keys.

I have a problem, I want an rgb keyboard but all of them only come in cherry red or blue. I would love something like a ducky keyboard but they tend to only come in red, blue, or green. Also not as much of a big deal but I love music control dedicated keys because I always use them in games and its super convenient instead of alt tabing. Thats one feature only "gaming" keyboards tend to have.

I know this is keyboards but I figure I ask
I got a razor naga hex. I bought it like 4+ years ago and it's starting to die out now
The button layout I feel is pretty much perfect for any game I play
1 and 3 is great for leaning in fps games that have it. Weapon switching is great with the 1 2 and 3 buttons in others
All buttons are great for mmos and mobas if I bother playing them
Any other game I have 6 easy to hit hotkeys right on my mouse

Now my question is, is there any other mice that have this kind of layout or at least that many programmable buttons that close together and placed to neatly? I don't care for the razor brand and want to change but, this mouse just seems really damn good.

Also my keyboard is a Ducky one TKL, to add to the thread

2 side buttons died, my scroll wheel would cause web pages to go blank and endlessly scroll, LMB and RMB were so sunken in from use they gave hardly any feedback, I had no middle scroll wheel click and the cable was so frayed that the mouse would constantly get caught when I moved it.

Over the years it was a fucking godly mouse for what I used it for, but knowing razor, I figured there might be something better out there now over the years.

I did buy a replacement for it though. Plugged it in and everything works as good as when I first bought my new one. I really needed a mouse so I was in a bind. Now if I was to find a different mouse I liked more, I could just give the one I bought to a friend or something.
>>
>>337733149
I have this too. It's amazing. I've had it for ~3-4 years and it's just as sturdy as it was when I got it. No LEDs have burned out either.

Logitech G602 has 6 buttons on the side. They're not arranged like that is however. It does also have 2 additional buttons next to the left click as well.

Right now, I have a Corsair K70 RGB /w MX Red switches. Pretty great so far. The only thing I dislike is that Corsair (and most other gaming keyboards) have a non standard spacing, so after market whole keysets for CherryMX style switches don't fit - I think you need a custom bottom row.

For a "not quite gaming, but enthusiast" keyboard, I'm waiting for the Input.Club K-Type. But it may be awhile.

I'm also considering if I should buy other RGB mech keyboards, primarily the new ones from Logitech and Roccat.

Logi G910 Orion Spectrum has normal-style keycaps, but use the Logi proprietary switches which are high quality, MX Brown style but aren't compatible which actual MX keycaps. Aside from that it has discrete media keys, good layout including macro keys, and the software is good and SDKs are open source.

Roccat Ryos MK FX is very similar, but uses actual MX Browns. Lacks discrete media keys though I like its neat replacement for CapsLock basically giving every other key another press, plus it has 3 extra thumb keys so that's nice. Open source option for drivers, and Linux support just like Logi. Can't decide... but I'm leaning towards Roccat given I may buy a Roccat Nyth mouse.
>>
>>337738392

They probably ordered it from corsairs site, the normal k70 is $120, the rgb model is $190
