Knowing what little I know about Zelda, no must-play entries to the franchise on the 3DS. All the good titles are on home consoles or something you really should emulate (who buys a SNES these days anyway?)

Are you a troll? You can play nearly all Zelda games on the 3DS. Both NES games, ALttP and all GB games are available on the eshop. OoT, MM and the DS games are available physically. ALBW and Tri Force Heroes are system exclusive.

Also story and characters are the least important things in Zelda games.
