i like overwatch because it reminds me of a younger tf2 that hasnt been loaded up with a bunch of extra weapons and weird subclass or respec concepts, like kritzkrieg or demoknight

modern tf2 is okay but it doesnt grab me like it did when the game first released. its not like all the alternate stuff in tf2 is bad, it just feels like the playstyle choice in tf2 has become oversaturated to the point where theres so much shit to keep track of all the time.

more choice isn't bad per se, i just like to be able to look at a character from any distance and immediately know what they can do, what weapons they have, etc. that level of simplicity in understanding the state of play is refreshing to have again

it will be gone from overwatch eventually but i can have my sad little dream of 'having fun' in an online shooter for at least a month or so
