MGS3 now emulates the bloom perfectly in hardware mode so with the 60fps patch it's the definitive way to play the game.

Ico now emulates the fog in hardware more so it's also the definitive way to play the game.

Okami emulates the rice filter too but the HD Remaster of the game looks better still, unless you really like the original rice filter.

Just enable partial CRC with OpenGL hardware mode and the half-pixel offset in hardware hacks using a newer git of pcsx2.

PS2 emulation is almost finished!

Dark Alliance has been working in hardware mode for a year now.
Same with Champions.
Basically all Snowblind Engine games were fixed last year in hardware.

No you could do it now, the PC would just be so high spec and/or OC'd that it could play anything at that spec. MGS3 with 60fps at 4k during cutscenes is pretty damn intensive especially the performance intensive ones.

New architetures add new features and instruction sets which then get incorporated by emulation for a substantial improvement.
Emulation is one of those few things other than video processing and compressing archives where each new CPU generation is a visible improvement to performance.

Okami looks great in motion with the rice filter but in screenshots it's still a blurry mess like it was before. I tried fixing it last night with some shaders but no luck.

It makes no sense since in motion it looks completely fine. I wonder if some hardware hack would fix the pixel misalignment.
