People have been saying he's underpowered due to low health and requiring LoS to heal/discord but his M1 is fucking amazing for peeking shots, and as long as you can peek at your harmony/discord target every few seconds you can keep it on them long enough. Being able to heal from such long ranges is great, too, and discord is a pretty powerful debuff.
And if there's a Torbjorn or Symmetra on the team that pretty much takes care of the low HP issue entirely, Widowmaker won't be killing you with a bodyshot when you've got the extra shield/armor.
