Gotta be honest that it looks pretty good. My only real concern is that they might go completely overkill on style. There's a limit on how many bells and whistles and wacky fonts you can throw on everything before it starts blurring together and losing its punch.
If it can keep the 'real world' fairly grounded then I think they're on decent footing. Narratives need those slow moments with more mundane concerns.

Yeah the UI is a bit much. I'm more interested with how they handle the real world. Persona 3 and 4 did a decent job of keeping the player hopping between the mundane and supernatural so that neither got tiring. Man, don't give Koei Tecmo credit for that. The dual audio decision was NISA's, since Gust were independent until 2011. KT actually didn't include dual audio in the first Atelier game they released and only put it back for later games because everyone complained.
