Yep. You taking "damage" is actually Nate dodging bullets, which decreases his luck gauge.

So when you die, it's actually because Nathan's luck ran out and he actually gets hit with a lethal shot.

I played the entire game without auto-aim and now that i'm playing with it on it honestly feels like cheating. Games like CoD snap to enemies but this is in another league of casual.
