I own Pokken and I have no clue how the fuck this could have happened, Pokemon game aside.
SF5 may have suffered from low content at launch but Pokken has that, no plans for DLC, and is a Wii U exclusive. SF5 also hits super high numbers on Twitch whereas Pokken is pretty much nonexistent.

SF5 doesnt really deserve to sell well. Capcoms expectations on the game are so low that they even shipped even less copies of what they planned to sell. I was at japan during launch, no one was buying the game and 3 days later there was already used copies for half of the price.
I played pokken in the arcades and honestly it isn't my cup of tea but i could see that the game was somewhat fun, too bad everyone stopped giving a shit about it one week after launch. Every time time i went to the arcades i would see every cabinet being used for the exception of pokken cabinets.
