Seeing as Goldeneye has better level design than modern shooters and a better ballistics simulation, I'd say it's still ahead of its time on some fronts. The fact that the controls aren't the same as the standard controls of today doesn't make them bad. They are good in their own right and work well.

if its got good gameplay i'd be happy to. dont know why its a prerequisite for 99% of rpgs to come with crappy mechanics. on top of that i dont like when video game story gets in the way of gameplay. i hardly ever related to video game stories and dont care for them.
only rpgs i ever liked (loved, actually) were soulsborne but i see those more as action adventure games with heavy rpg elements. although I havent played stalker which looks interesting. diablo also look neat.
