PS Neo release was leaked, I'll go into some details.
The Last Guardian is coming out in October they probably added some type of VR support, or made it Neo compatible and it will be a Neo launch title, God of war 4 to come shortly after.
Neo can play all games previously released the same as a normal PS4 would. Putting in a game won't instantly give you enhancements but patching will not be necessary . All game released after must have support for both mode Regular and Neo mode. Older games that don't have Neo support will need to be updated by choice of the devs so expect it for Triple A titles like The Witcher 3.

Depends what the games are but, sony is thinking up something for early PS4 adopters as they find it would be some what unfair. I imagine since we can possibly return our PS4s and get like 200$ off, they would rather verify that we have a ps4 and give us 1 Year free PSN and 2 or 3 free new games, With 4k support. I personally had a good time on it though, Bloodborne 80 hours with the platinum, 700 hours on Destiny, Ratchet and clank for 30 ish hours, and Uncharted 4. It has games now, and a few more coming out before 4k releases like Star Ocean 5

It's not a small jump. Double the GPU power and 30% additional CPU speed means a lot. I feel underwhelmed as fuck by my PS4. Might aswell trade it in if there is such an option. PS4K is basically to make sure PS4 is relevant to core gamers who don't want to play on PC but still care about graphics and so on.
