I'm not expecting otherwise, I just get pissed off they can get away with not adding content that should blatantly just be there. Civ expansions should just be new civs to play, units to use, maps to play on, gamemodes.
The fact that you had to mess around with some options to even use mods in multiplayer is downright dumb and lazy.

Holy shit, I never even looked that hard. To be quite honest I've been trying to push out the realization that Civilization, something I enjoyed very much, keeps swirling down the toilet with every new incarnation.

The art style sort of doesn't matter, it's just that this paints a bad picture for how they will handle the core gameplay.
If the gameplay somehow is great and the art is garbage, I can live with it.
Sadly I'm confident that the whole package will suck and I'll keep playing Civ IV with mods.
