Also relax, if you do it step by step its almost guaranteed you won't brick, the worst case cenario is a soft brick, which will make you upgrade your system and lose the ability to hack it for now (except for hardmod, but you need to know soldering and shit).

It's a very overrated series. All it literally has going for it is fighting huge monsters with it's sluggish gameplay. Though if your a fan of souls games you'll probably enjoy the combat. It's one of the few games where I felt empty, like I was missing something important in my life after I finished it. I'm not a huge SRPG fan in the first place so I mostly enjoyed the story, characters, and music. The gameplay was fun but wasn't really hard or needed you to really think strategically. All the animations of the moves you can do were pretty neat. I wouldn't say the game is for everyone though, as it did have its fair share of problems.

Overclocked and Record Breaker are remakes with extra content (and rebalancing) of Devil Survivor 1 and 2 respectively. Soul hackers is a port that I've never played. Overclocked adds one more day to it's 7 day story while Record Breaker adds a separate, 3 day alternate timeline. The general consensus which I definitely agree with is DS1 has much better story/characters, while DS2 has better slightly improved gameplay. Hope that helps.
