It's proabably a remake but I'm cautiously optimistic. There's a very simple formula to Wild Guns, I can't imagine they'd fuck it up too bad especially if what >>337380747 says is true.

Not him but MS have always had a wobbly relationship with japanese devs (discouting larger ones like SEGA or Platinum for example). Sony have really been going whole hog on getting indies and smaller devs for the PS4 since, you know, it has no fucking games.
