Earthbounds combat is boring and unpredictable at times
It's usually one of three things for me;
1. I enjoy the game so much that I don't want it to end, so I stop playing and tell myself I'll finish it in a few days. I never finish it.
2. I encounter a mission or level that I can't beat

Fuck. I've done this on so many occasions, only to have the end of the game ruined by some anon on /v/ because I was too selfish to finish a game. I just did this with Red Dead Redemption, gonna go play it now

Also I did just beat DaS2, was going to run through some older games next. Doom 64 seems fairly cool and I started replaying Castelvania Circle of the Moon and it's fucking fantastic.

I don't quit games anon! I 100% them and occasionally return with a different playthrough giving myself very difficult and unreasonable handicaps to make things even more fun!I started playing runefactory 4 with my level frozen at 1 and skill levels all frozen from the start of the game basically leaving me with one skill that hasn't even hit 1 and no possibility of ever getting other skill ups. I am currently on the third dungeon and having FUN

I'm playing Isolation right now and it's pretty damn fun but I've heard it becomes a bit of a drag later on so if you want to finish something without getting burned out maybe look elsewhere.
Dishonored is fun, all around very good game esp. if you like stealth. Dragon's Dogma starts off very slow but becomes terrific later on especially in the DLC which is pretty much the endgame stuff, a lot of people find it difficult to get past the boring parts though so YMMV. LA Noire is amazing and one of the most polished and intriguing games I've ever played but the PC port is god awful, locked at 30fps and if you unlock it the game crashes at certain points in the story. It also breaks the physics and causes driving to fuck up and feel as if the roads are made of vaseline.
Stalker SoC is god tier and something everyone should play, finish it vanilla and then mod the fuck out of it or just play with Automn Aurora for the graphics and some slight gameplay modifications. TWAU and TWD are also pretty good if you're into those kinds games.
You have a lot of good stuff on there, you can't really go wrong.
