They should just change a few things about her freeze, right now it feels like it takes control away from you, and we all know that feels like shit. When you get killed by a Mei you should think "yup, I deserved that", Not "Fucking Mei, she wasn't even close to me".
Maybe increase the time to freeze depending on the health of the victim or decrease the freeze rate the further from the gun. At the same time increasing the rate she freezes upclose.
Now her freezing you is basically like using a shotgun. If you were killed by Mei, you might have as well have gotten killed by a Reaper.
