Well, all ports of the Dragon Quest III SNES remake removed every single Pachisi board from the game, and thus made a lot of equipment options more limited and rare because there was no way to get multiple copies of them.They also removed the unique sprites each female class had for the bikinis, they all turn into the Merchant bikini sprite.

Its 108p/60fps with all dlc. It releases for a modest price and has a nice limited edition first print run type of deal. Im not really eager to replay it right now but im picking it up because im a fan of the series and its cheap.

One, the cell is actually extremely advanced. PCs cant emulate it, and theres no way in hell the ps4 would be able to. The only thing would be to leave the cell in, jack up the price another $100, and redesign the system for a feature that people stop caring for in a year or 2.
2, Microsoft needed an edge against the competition because they were getting wrecked and have some very talented engineers and programmers. Whatever cpu the 360 used, was probably nowhere near as tricky as the cell was. It sucks but its just how some things are man

Yeah I got 100 hours out of it. 200 hours out of VC3 lol. The main story is interesting and has some fun, although sometimes bullshit missions where they just pull the rug under you and you need to completely change up tactics. The side story and challenge mode missions that the make up the dlc are pretty difficult and if you like the game, you will enjoy those to.

The game in general is good. Main flaw is a ranking system that's 100% based on time, and the requirements for highest rank are so strict in most missions that you basically have to complete them in an extremely specific way, turning the game into more of a puzzle game than a strategy game.
PC port handles mouse + keyboard like ass (you have to navigate menus with keyboard, that sort of thing) but is otherwise fine.

The series mechanics were perfected in 3. The change in tone was welcomed since the first 2 were happy go lucky anime adventures while the third dealt with more tragedy and grimness of war. Its pretty inconsistent. One scene you see the squad remorse over the death of an enemy soldier, the next a pig with wings is getting promoted to seargent. Theyre all pretty anime games but VC3 is the most mature and heavy handed of them, since you play as a group of degenerates, prisoners etc who are handed the most dangerous missions and morale is low. You have to remember that for the longest time VC was sent off to mobile to become a F2P, P2W game.

Basically the cell architecture is a blueprint for a massively parallel powerpc system that coordinates individual synergistic processing elements with more generalized power processor elements.
The Xenon processor in the 360 just takes 3 of the power processor elements, slaps them together, and calls it a night. The "Cell" used in the PS3 actually tries to take advantage of the SPE functionality by including 1 PPE married to 7 functional SPEs, one of which is reserved for OS.
The result is that the Xenon is a rudimentary multicore processor with a powerpc instruction set while the Cell is a gigantic clusterfuck of bandwidth management.
