Im off to college next year, and my current desktop is showing its age. I'm going to get a laptop of some kind to replace it, and it's going to be my only PC at school.
Budget is ideally under $2,500, but it needs to be able to run games well and I'd rather it have subtle styling. Other than that, anything goes.
I was thinking Razer Blade 14 because of the good build quality and performance. It seems well balanced, and I like the simplistic styling (No edgy exterior LEDs).
I've also been looking into the msi Ghost series. Opinions? Any advice is appreciated.

I'd only be using it for stuff like Overwatch and War Thunder, nothing extremely demanding. I wouldnt be doing a huge amount of high end gaming on it, it just needs to be capable.
Either way I've moved away from the idea of having 2 PCs, it just seems too complicated for the amount of gaming I'd be doing (Not alot)
That laptop uses a ULV cpu. Look for sager/clevo laptops with a desktop cpu and a desktop 980 if $2500 is your budget.

I have a similar issue as OP. I'm going abroad for the next year and I want to bring my gaming PC along. I don't feel safe disassembling the parts and taking them with me, so I'm thinking of rebuilding it into a mini-itx and taking the whole thing along in my carry-on baggage.
the only thing i'm worried about is that I won't be able to fit an HDD+SSD+graphics card + CPU w/aftermarket heat sink + everything else in a mid-size tower into one of those tiny cases.
