I've been playing Mon Hun 4 online while having a nearly full 64GB sd card of pirated games.
Unless you're saying you haven't hacked your 3ds yet, in which case you'd want to do that first, then update it.

Maybe you didn't get an answer because the OP of /hbg/ says that all CFW (both a9lh and emuNAND) work with 11.0
11.0 breaks the downgrade exploit, so anyone who hasn't done it already and updates is fucked, but people who already hacked the system can upgrade fine.
